Chef’s Corner

Chef’s Corner

Welcome to Chef’s corner. I dedicate this page to chef Art, my instructor and friend. Art was passionate about culinary arts and cultural issues, and so this page will highlight Art’s recipes and philanthropic issues. As a foodie and restaurateur, Art loved all things food, especially the small, family owned eateries. Chef’s Corner will feature local eateries and retailers who hold similar values. On this page you will find reviews, interviews and local businesses who are making an impact.

The first business we are highlighting is Treasured Tea, an e-commerce store specializing in holistic teas. The flavors are amazing, the teas are healthy and the knowledge they bring to the world of tea is fantastic. Check out their page below and follow the links to see their products and contact information.

The first restaurant we will review is a cupcake bakery, The Pink Cupcake. You will find amazing cupcakes and Treasured Tea on the menu. Happy Eats!

Jason Phillips is a freelance food and travel writer and photographer. His culinary journey started in 2004 when he started a career in the US Merchant Marine working onboard tugboats. This path led him to several unique ports of call around the Caribbean and Mexico, and he has been hooked on traveling ever since. Throughout his travels, he learned about different cultural cuisines and the effect it has on others. He took this knowledge and went to a culinary academy in 2019 where he met Chef Art Grayson. Chef Art encouraged Jason to publish a book about his travel and culinary career. Jason published his book, The Sea Cook in 2021, and his blog is dedicated to Chef Art for his tutelage and friendship.
